Sunday worship SERVICES

As you might have heard, indoor public gatherings of more than 100 people have been banned by the NZ government to stop the coronavirus spread. The new measures do not apply to schools, universities or any other educational institutions. Due to the new Coronavirus infection prevention guidelines announced today, I am hereby informing all our members and visitors that all our Sunday church services will now operate Online only. Please do not come to our facilities on Sunday for our usual services.

Over the past couple of weeks, I have been informing our members about the possibility of this happening and therefore we have provided training to our leaders on how to effectively utilise MBCC’s online platforms. Please note that small group gatherings like prayer groups, life groups, etc. can continue as normal until further notice. Small group meetings can also operate online via Zoom if any group desire to do so.

Watch our Pastors giving live messages on Sundays at 9 am on YouTube. Please join us. For a list of our social media platforms, please visit our website at If there are any changes to our church services, we will inform you about it. May the Lord bless you and keep you during this time. Don’t fear, God is in control…. Blessings, Pastor Abri

We enjoy singing both traditional and modern hymns and songs and have some talented musicians.

We place a strong emphasis on the Word of God and our pastor is committed to systematic, biblical (expository) preaching. "Expository" preaching is sometimes topical but more often it is simply seeking to open up a passage in the Bible, explaining the text, seeking to illustrate it & then apply it to our everyday life & context. Most of our Sunday messages are recorded (audio and video) and uploaded to this website. You can find the most recent Sunday sermon HERE.

Our main services are all in English but we have simultaneous translation into Chinese and Japanese via a headset system for those who find this helpful.

Each Sunday we celebrate communion remembering the Lord’s sacrifice on the Cross for us and looking forward to His return in glory. Communion is held alternatively, one week at the 9 AM service & the next week at the 11 AM service.

Once a month we hold a Japanese and Chinese language worship service. This happens on a Friday evening. At this service we have translation into English for those needing it.
