We currently have three elders (in addition to our pastor), one consulting elder and one "elder emeritus":

Michael Pun - (seen on the right of the photo) originally from Hong Kong studied counselling at Laidlaw College (formerly the Bible College of New Zealand) and now has his own practice. Michael is the Chief Executive Officer of New Zealand Family Keepers which provides counselling services to the Asian community. He is also a volunteer support worker in Victim Support and a volunteer counsellor in the Salvation Army's Oasis Centre for Treatment of Problem Gambling. Michael is married to Emily and they have two daughters.

Warren Payne (seen in the middle) is our newest elder. Warren & his wife Doreen are retired OMF missionaries who served for many years in Japan and then as OMF's National Director for New Zealand. They are still very active in OMF's Diaspora Ministry and in particular in ministering to Japanese.  Warren and Doreen also serve on our pastoral leadership team.

David Xu, from Nanjing in China where he lectured at Nanjing Normal University. David is married to Michelle and they have two daughters. David is on the staff of the ANZ Bank. (David is the one on the left of the photo)

Pastor K.O. Okudaira, who joined the Elder's Board in February 2012 left us in March 2014 to begin pastoring a church in Tokyo, Japan (http://urayasuicc.com). KO is now one of our consulting elders, albeit in a far away country! KO is married to Stella, who until they left for Japan served as Chair-person of our Deacon's Board. Stella was a Kiwi missionary to Japan, where she met KO. They have two grown children. Their daughter Sayuree is an accomplished gospel singer who also lives in Tokyo.

Pat Cummings serves as Elder Emeritus in recognition of her many years of faithful service in the church.
